Security is all about a culture on how we define it.

Not only in Networking but we need Security everywhere. That's why we define Security as a culture. People who don't have any idea will upload their personal pictures on Social media, Whatsapp status, Facebook where their personal life is on Internet. Due to increasing in cyber risk now everybody should think about Security. In terms of Organizations, we can't keep track of all users but we can define policies what information can be shared, what information can accessed or shared.


For organizations we need security in every aspect, following are the areas i am talking about:

1. Physical security - Door Access restrictions, CCTV Surveillance, Server Room restrictions, Security Ethernet Cables
2. Desktop Level - Restricting login to user computers and Servers.
3. Server Level - Limiting access to servers and defining permissions for users. Ensuring least privilege is defined.
4. Network Level - Liming network access to persons outside the organization using port security & 802.11X authentication, Securing the network using firewalls
5. VPN - Providing secure access for Site 2 Site and Remote Access networks to ensure secure communication through open Internet.
6. Cloud Security - Providing secure access to Cloud Infra from On-Prem.
7. Application - Securing End User applications
